The Moment Everything Broke
With the spread of corporate money in dentistry we began to see the landscape of dentistry change around us quickly. This led to priority being placed on profit over patient care and a degradation in the purpose of healthcare.
We were tired of watching people who didn’t care about dentistry and who didn’t care about exceptional patient care open up multiple practices. We knew that with our passion for dentistry we could recruit like minded dentists to grow a network of offices who shared our values. We knew we could protect the legacies of dentists like our father who built a career based on relationships and taking care of people.
The “Enough Is Enough” Moment
I had just moved back to North Carolina and was working with my brother at his office in the small town of Selma taking care of people who would sometimes drive over an hour to the office. They would constantly thank us for being there to take care of them and show genuine appreciation for continuing the legacy of the dentist who retired. I was looking to go out on my own and take over an office of another retiring dentist when my brother and I decided we needed to do this together! From that point on we began meeting retiring dentists who wanted us to be the flag bearers for their practices!
Building the Fix
We have grown by putting an emphasis on the things that matter most to us and attracting like minded, bad ass dentists to grow with us. We believe in patients over profit and that we don’t just treat teeth, we treat people! We believe that everyone has a story and if you are brave enough to do the hard work you can be the amazing dentist to help fix a person through fixing their teeth. We love to be the mentors in that journey as we elevate dentistry in our communities!
Where We’re Headed Next
We have started to grow something amazing, and we are injecting true purpose into our field through mentorship of our providers. We aren’t just buying a dental office and putting a random person with a dental degree in it. We are building teams centered around a person who loves what they do so we can change the lives of both the patients they treat and the team they treat those patients with. We have done that one office at a time for nearly the past 10 years, and now we are ready to scale! We are ready to take this vision to the rest of North Carolina and beyond!
