Dentists and teams deserve to grow profitibly, without burnout, and together we can elevate patient care
The Moment Everything Broke
For years, I helped build and run multi-location dental groups that looked successful from the outside but were held together with sheer willpower, will power, and late nights. Revenue cycle was chaos, AR buoilding up, reporting was manual, new locations meant starting from scratch, and people were burning out while the margins still werenât where they should be. It wasnât a âlazy teamâ problem, it was a broken systems problem. We need systems and process that support and enable our team to deliver patient care.
I watched owner-dentists and leaders who genuinely cared about their teams and patients slowly lose their spark because they were trapped in a business that only worked if they sacrificed their health, family time, and/or their joyful purpose for dentistry.
âI was tired of watching brilliant clinicians burn out because of broken systems.â
Header: The âEnough Is Enoughâ Moment
It hit me one night around 2:00 a.m., alone at my kitchen table with my laptop glowing and reports spread out like a crime scene. We had just opened another location, payroll was climbing, write-offs growing and margins shrinking, and I was averaging about four hours of sleep, on a good week. My body had started throwing auto-histamine flares, and my relationships were fraying at the edges.
I remember staring at yet another report and thinking, âIf this is what âgrowthâ looks like, itâs abad for everyone, there has to be a better wayâ. That was the moment. Not a conference stage epiphany, just a tired operator realizing the industry didnât need more heroics. It needed automation, clean data, and simple, repeatable systems that let humans do human work again – more patient care and margins we feel good about that support the business at scale.
That night I decided: no more duct-taped operations. If Iâd learned how to scale chaos, I could learn how to scale clarity â and then help other groups do it faster and with less pain than I had.
Building the Fix
Out of that breaking point, The Dental Efficiency Guywas born â not as another âconsulting binder,â but as a playbook and partnership forlean, automated, high-EBITDA dental organizations.
I took two decades of DSO operations, de novo launches, acquisitions, and equipment/technology experience and built a framework that does three things exceptionally well:
- Diagnose the true constraints
We map your revenue cycle, scheduling, financials and reporting, and leadership flows to uncover where time, money, and energy are really leaking, usually in places everyone is too busy to see. - Automate the repeatable, elevate your team members to impact
Using leading ai automation custom tailored to your practice, emerging group, or DSO, we strip out redundant, profit and soul-sucking tasks like insurance verification, through payments, data enrtry, multi-platform report creation, and other admin loops… and give that time back to your people so they can focus on patient impact, leadership, and organizational growth. - Build a scalable operating system
We design lean organizational structures, clear SOPs, and leadership rhythms so your group can scale one office or additional locations without burning out your best people or crushing your margins. Is your team holding themselves accountable to excellence?
Our clients routinely reclaim 40â90% of admin time in key workflows and see 20â30%+ EBITDA growth, while reducing burnout and turnover.
Where Weâre Headed Next

Today, The Dental Efficiency Guy exists for one reason: to make it normal , not rare , for dental leaders to scale profitably without sacrificing their health, their families, or the quality of care.
Weâre building a future where:
- DSOs and groups use automation and AI to augment their teams, not replace them.
- Owner-dentists sleep more than they contemplate spreadsheets.
- Leadership teams spend their time on strategy, coaching, and culture , not chasing reports, costly errors, and fixing preventable fires.
- 20%+ EBITDA and a joyful culture can coexist in the same organization, by design.
- Cultures are built on empowered accountability and alignment with the mission and values.
My mission now is to partner with busy offices, emerging groups, and DSOs who are done with âgrowth at all costsâ and ready for growth with intention; clean data, smart automation, strong leadership, and a business that gives life back, instead of draining it.
